Larry Page's Commencement Address

Just a beautiful tribute to his father. I think I have something in my eye...

Eric, do you think that, everything else being equal, someone with an obstacle to success in their life, e.g.:
(1) dad dies of cancer at age 8
(2) moderate disability like type 1 diabetes
(3) being 5'5" (male)
is more likely to succeed ($ or influence, whatever) than someone who has no similar disruption?

(I do but I'm not sure I'm right.)
