Anxiety, however, like all things, may be useful in moderation.Eric Falkensteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07243687157322033496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7905515.post-50394754085569420782010-02-13T03:14:41.860-06:002010-02-13T03:14:41.860-06:00Hi Eric, I liked your post quite a bit until the e...Hi Eric, I liked your post quite a bit until the end, till the very last paragraph, because I think - with some unknown degree of emotional influence - you've overstated a couple of conclusions. However, I haven't read your sources so I could be missing something. On the other hand, anxiety might just as easily lead to indecision, as well as rational thinking could, and research aside, I think, feel and otherwise know, that's pretty certain.ilenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00859456411740769913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7905515.post-48269443364243936812010-02-09T02:25:30.298-06:002010-02-09T02:25:30.298-06:00On this topic, I really liked "How we decide&...On this topic, I really liked "How we decide" (http://www.amazon.com/How-We-Decide-Jonah-Lehrer/dp/0618620117).

On the other hand, I just finished reading "Finding Alpha", and I want to say : Amazing. There is no a priori reason why a person with damaged emotion-generating part of the brain couldn't choose between two restaurants. After spending some time gathering data, they could just decide that, given what they've learned, they're indifferent between them, flip a coin and be done with it.przemekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13712667301753483580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7905515.post-33530660750129983522010-02-08T12:39:27.195-06:002010-02-08T12:39:27.195-06:00Full text of paper 'Fact-Free Learning' re...Full text of paper 'Fact-Free Learning' referenced in the post: http://cowles.econ.yale.edu/P/cd/d14b/d1491.pdfAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7905515.post-43769652781128444482010-02-08T10:58:28.650-06:002010-02-08T10:58:28.650-06:00I really enjoyed you last few posts.I really enjoyed you last few posts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
